Frequently asked Questions
- What are the typical air and water temperatures in the Southern Bahamas?
Air Temperatures vary with the month and range from 18-30 degrees C but are usually in the mid 20’s in the winter and high 20’s low 30’s in the spring. Winter sailing in the Southern Bahamas is very comfortable with shorts, tee shirts, bare feet and maybe a light wind breaker most of the time. - What are the sailing conditions like?
On the Bahamas Banks only wind driven waves are encountered and the waters are too shallow to build up any ocean swell which means beautiful flat water sailing.
